What is Vocabulary Builder?
Vocabulary Builder is a tool that allows a clinician to quickly limit the amount of vocabulary available, while keeping the motor plan for words consistent. Vocabulary Builder assists you one step at a time as you introduce small sets of vocabulary within the sequenced Unity® language system. Ultimately it reduces the vocabulary load in both the teaching and learning process of Unity.
How does Vocabulary Builder help me teach vocabulary or sequences or motor plans?
- If you know Unity– Vocabulary Builder allows you to choose early words to start language building.
- If you don’t know Unity – Spell the words you want to add and Vocabulary Builder will locate them.
- Keeps motor plans consistent.
- Moves at a pace appropriate for each individual’s skills.
- Allows you to customize vocabulary. Easily type and find words when needed.
- Eases the transition between One-Hit and Sequenced Unity.
- Allows you to teach a sequenced version of Unity (i.e., Unity 45, 60, 84 or 144) without displaying every possible sequence. For many device users, introducing vocabulary slowly over time allows them to process new information more readily.
To have all the features of the new improved Vocabulary Builder software, you will need to upgrade your software to 5.06 (Vantage Lite or Vanguard) or 2.07 (ECO2). To update your software, go to prentrom.com/downloads/updates.
