Unity 84 is the latest addition to the powerful Unity language system. With a pre-stored vocabulary of over 3000 words and phrases, Unity 84 allows individuals to express themselves using spontaneously created words, phrases and sentences. By using symbols in combination, both literate and non-literate individuals can have access to a large vocabulary, which can be accessed with significantly fewer keystrokes than regular spelling.

The new Unity 84 program also makes use of a new feature Picture Prediction™ that actually "learns" many of the words the individual uses regularly, and then automatically makes these words easier to access. This means the system adapts to the language needs of the user and helps to organize extended vocabulary for more rapid access.

In spelling mode, a word prediction feature serves to reduce keystrokes, thus leading to less effort for the client. And for even more independence, special computer access keyboards are available so the client can use the device as an external keyboard. This means that anyone hooked up to a word processor will be able to use the Unity symbols to type directly into the document, and even control mouse movements, function keys, and menus - all from the Unity 84 program.

Other features that make Unity 84 easy to learn include built-in Lesson Plans, Icon Tutor (type in a word and the device shows you where it is stored), Icon Prediction, color-coding, word-picture pairing, and lots of memory to allow customization. As with all Unity applications, Unity 84 includes the Activity Row for easy access to less frequently used words, and pages for specialized vocabulary sets.

Anyone familiar with the family of Unity programs will have no trouble adapting to the new Unity 84 - a complete language system to capture the needs of individuals from 12 months to adulthood.

Unity 84 is a standard feature on both Vantage Plus and Vanguard Plus (in addition to the existing Unity 45 application for Vantage and Vanguard).
