"Plus" Products Frequently Asked Questions
| Question: |
Are the "Plus" products completely different
communication aids? |
| Answer: |
No. We've simply added many new features and functions to
our current line of communication aids. |
| |
|
| Question: |
Will the original versions of the PRC communication
aids still be available? |
| Answer: |
No, the "Plus" products are replacing the original
versions of SpringBoard, Vantage and Vanguard and Pathfinder. |
| |
|
| Question: |
Will the "Plus" products cost more? |
| Answer: |
No, the base unit price for all four of our communication
aids, SpringBoard, Vantage, Vanguard and Pathfinder will not change. |

|
| Question: |
If I have a request for funding (Medicaid, private insurance,
etc.) in progress will I need to re-submit my request for the "Plus"
product? |
| Answer: |
In most cases, no. Because the "Plus" units include
all of the functions in the original units and because there has been no
price increase, most funding submissions can proceed without change. If
you have a specific question, please contact our Funding Department at 1
800-262-1984. |

| Question: |
How often does PRC update its products? |
| Answer: |
Product development happens every day at PRC, looking to improve
our current products and to create new product solutions for people with
communication needs. Our philosophy is to bring these improvements to our
customers as quickly as possible. |

| Question: |
If I received a PRC communication aid six months ago,
can I trade that unit in now for one of the "Plus" versions? |
| Answer: |
The practical answer is "no." PRC does have a standard
trade-in policy but in most cases the trade-in value of a communication
aid is much lower than the cost of purchasing a new device. Upgrades for
communication aids are similar to what you might experience with a home
computer. The computer you purchased two years ago should still meet your
needs very effectively but it will not have all of the new features available
today. |
