AQLS - Adult Quick Learning Systems^TM

Now a new software option is available to enhance and extend the communication capabilities of adults with communication-related disabilities, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other degenerative diseases. AQLS allows individuals to start quickly (users can be familiar with the AlphaBetic version in an hour) and generate language spontaneously with minimum keystrokes.

There are two formats:

• An AlphaBetic version uses an enhanced QWERTY keyboard plus quick-access words and phrases.
• An Iconic version, based on Unity 128, combines the power of Unity with more single-hit words and phrases.

The AlphaBetic version is designed for the adult user who wants a spelling system plus Word Prediction. Again, the application has been modified to provide quick access to 250 of the most common words and phrases, reducing the keystrokes required. With as little as one hour of instruction, the adult user can become familiar with AQLS alphabetic.

AQLS has the "Power in an Hour" learning guide for a quick introduction to this powerful software. An adult user can begin using AQLS AlphaBetic immediately and, in an hour become familiar with all the application features using the learning guide.

The Adult Quick Learning System package includes:

• Both the Alphabetic and Iconic versions of the software plus overlays.
• The "Power in an Hour" Learning guide for AQLS AlphaBetic.
• The "15 Hours to Fluency" lesson plans for AQLS Iconic.

AQLS is available as a pre-installed language option (at no extra charge) when ordering a new DeltaTalker^TM or Pathfinder^TM. The package can also be purchased for installation on any DeltaTalker, Pathfinder, or Liberator^TM already in use. (Word Prediction is available on the Pathfinder and Liberator versions only.)
