• AirCard® wireless phone capability enables device to act as a mobile phone. AirCard inserts into device’s PCMCIA slot to allow user to send and receive voice calls and text messages. *PRC does not provide wireless service and customers will have to provide their own mobile phone service account. The AirCard currently works with any service provider that offers a SIMM card phone (e.g., Cingular). Customers will be responsible for their own phone charges and PRC cannot accept responsibility for problems of mobile phone service provision.

Unity® 128 software - Powers Pathfinder
Unity includes several integrated vocabulary programs with over 4,000 words, plus songs and sample activities to help users explore the device and the language.

Anyone familiar with Minspeak will enjoy the consistency and simplicity of the Unity 128 vocabulary. The Pathfinder version has been enhanced to take full advantage of the new features of this device. Unity includes several vocabulary programs, plus songs and sample activities to help users begin to explore the device and the language. Word Prediction, Icon Prediction and spelling via the dynamic display enhance both teaching and learning and help support literacy. The combination of static and dynamic keyboards and Unity language allows Minspeak users to transition easily from other Prentke Romich devices.

Other vocabulary programs such as AQLS and WordPower are also available for Pathfinder. Additionally, Words Strategy or custom programs from other PRC devices such as TouchTalker, LightTalker, Liberator or DeltaTalker can be used in the Pathfinder. Click for details.

Pathfinder can be accessed directly via the keyboard touch screen display or through switch-activated scanning (single-switch, dual-switch, and joystick). Scanning options include: row/column and column/row, quarter-row column, Linear, and Directed or Automatic Parameters can also be adjusted to create the most effective access to the device. Auditory prompts aid individuals with visual impairments. You can interface the Pathfinder through the RS232 port or Built-in Infra-Red Transmitter.

An Integrated Headpointing Option
The first integrated headpointing option in AAC is now available in the Pathfinder. When you select the Tracker Integrated Headpointing option on Pathfinder, the Tracker is included in the device. The client needs only a reflective "dot" to access Pathfinder. The Tracker option is ideal for those clients who can use only headpointing access as well as clients who may switch access methods as their physical abilities change.

PRC has partnered with Madentec, a leader in headpointing systems, to introduce this innovation in access and convenience.
